حسب ما ذكرته ” سكاي نيوز عربية ” ذكر وزير الخارجية الصومالى ، عبد السلام عمر، أن بلاده هزمت حركة “الشباب” المتطرفة عسكريا، جراء عمليات مشتركة وصفها بـ”الناجحة” للجيش الصومالي وقوات حفظ السلام التابعة للاتحاد الإفريقي.
وأشار عمر إلى أن متشددي الشباب باتوا يسطرون على أقل من 10 في المئة من البلاد، قائلا إن الكثير من قادتها قتلوا، أو انشقوا في الأشهر الأخيرة.

وأوضح عمر للاجتماع الوزاري السنوي للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، السبت، أن “الشباب” ردت باللجوء إلى “تكتيكات حربية غير متسقة لتنفيذ هجمات إرهابية ضد أهداف “ناعمة” في الصومال، وبشكل متزايد في البلدان المجاورة.

وأكد أن الحكومة تحاول “تعزيز العملية الأمنية” لمنع وقوع هجمات جديدة، وفق ما نقلت “أسوشيتد برس”.
